Phlebotomy Technician Instructor- Job Description
Job Summary:​​​​
​
We are seeking a dynamic, highly energetic leader who inspires both students and faculty to reach their educational and career goals set forth by Innovation Dental Training Center. This position also requires ensuring program accountability for specific academic metrics pertaining to student retention. Strong leadership skills are required to provide educational planning, preparation and training. The successful individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong instructor bench, mentoring instructors, advising students, and supporting program enrollment and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
​
Instruct students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
Evaluate, report and record student performance and progress.
Prepare students in a 64 hour class time to go on to a 40-100 hour externship in a Lab or Hospital.
Assists students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
Provides a professional role model for students.

Education/Experience/Qualifications, Certifications, and/or License Requirements:
​
Current Texas CPT license.
Must have 3-5 years teaching experience.
Must be proficient in all aspects of blood collection including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
Must be comfortable with speaking to large groups, multi-tasking and critical thinking.
Efficient with computers.
Organized and detail oriented.
Phlebotomy: 3 years Experience (Required)
License:
CPT1 (Required)
